About Us
Powerlifting is a Full Blue sport at Oxford.

Our Mission
We exist to help individuals interested in competing within the sport of powerlifting, and helping individuals learn how to correctly squat, bench press and deadlift. We provide training advice and programming to members, as well as with the facilities and equipment necessary to excel.

Most importantly, the community we foster provides a welcoming environment for people of any background and experience level.

Lifters of all abilities are welcome!
Our club welcomes anyone interested in strength and resistance training! We operate club and squad training sessions throughout term time.
Lifters of all experience levels are welcome.
Alongside dedicated powerlifters, the Club includes sporting men and women from other strength sports and other disciplines such as: boxing, athletics, rugby, and gymnastics.
We also have many members who simply enjoy training as part of a healthy lifestyle, without any sporting ambitions.

Full Blue Sport
We field several competitive teams at the divisional and national levels, including at our annual Oxford v Cambridge Varsity and BUCS British University Championships.

In addition to our competitive teams, we support a diversity of competitors ranging from the novice to the international levels. We also host an extremely popular annual Cuppers event!

New to powerlifting?
We offer many opportunities for beginner and novice lifters to get stronger and develop skill in powerlifting, as well as to compete at their first powerlifting competitions!

Many of our members only started powerlifting while at Oxford, and end up achieving far more than they expect — from gaining strength and confidence, to winning national-and international-level competitions.

In addition to mock meets and competition-day support, we provide resources and guidance at various commitment levels, from training programmes to online courses to highly-subsidised coaching from national-team coaches.
